Not to point out the obvious specimen but here is the Brothers Quay seed of inspiration...if you didn't know, Jan Svankmajer. A practictioner of surrealism, Svankmajer's work is an alchemical process of two parts insects, one part dollheads and a pinch of darkness. Stir it up to a fever and serve cold.
